I was making a room, but I think I need lots more practice before I try something that large. So here's 2 pieces of the room I finished put together. You know whats hard to pixel? Cables and the SNES Controller. So I cleverly left the controller out and just tried my best with the cables.
If the background is black or something else involving transparency is screwed up, it's because Microsoft can't get their shit together. So in IE it might render weird... Stupid IE.
And no of course I didn't draw the image on the screen... Nintendo's 1337 artists made it.
The SNES alone is quite a work of pixel art. I think you did an excellent job of giving it the right edges, colors, and shading to give it some depth. I'd try the controller though, as it would really help it out.
As for your television, well it could use a bit of work. It looks a bit flat and boxy, even for a big screen tv. Maybe give it more texture, some extra shading, better looking speakers and controls. The screen really outdoes the rest of it.
I admire your skills for doing the pic on the screen! Awesome TV too. The background is a little dark to contrast with wires and tv, but then again maybe there is no appropriate setting for the set. Cool anyhow!
SNES could be old and very limited if compared to today's video games. But there's no way to deny that Super NES was, and still is the best video game EVER made! I never had so much fun with other consoles than I had with SNES. I still own mine. It still works perfectly great, and I love to play with it!

Good luck if you're indeed going to make a room with such proportions (you'll need it
